IFTM University was established in the year 2010 as a culmination of two constituent colleges viz; Institute of Foreign Trade and Management (started in 1996) and College of Engineering and Technology (started in 2002). It started with enrolling the first batch of Ph.D. from session 2010-11. Currently the University is structured into seven schools with each school imparting "Diploma to Doctorate" level of education. Seven schools of IFTM University are: School of Business Management, School of Engineering and Technology, School of Computer Engineering and Applications, School of Biotechnology, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, School of Sciences & School of Social Sciences. It has a very dynamic alliances cell with top companies like Infosys, IBM, and Reliance etc. that equip the students to be industry-ready professionals.
